BENALMADENA & DISTRICT WINTER POOL LEAGUE MINUTES OF REGISTRATION MEETING & A.G.M. 2011/12
HELD AT THE MIGHTY QUINNS BAR ON THURSDAY 15th SEPTEMBER 2011 AT 3pm.
THE LEAGUE WILL START ON THURSDAY 20th OCTOBER 2011 AT 9.00p.m
1. ENTRY FEES. A 30€ REGISTRATION FEE ( PLUS 12€ DEPOSIT, REFUNDABLE IF ALL FIXTURES ARE COMPLETED ) PAYABLE AT THE REGISTRATION MEETING. LEAGUE FEES:- WILL EQUAL 6€ PER MATCH, DIVISIONS OF 10 = 108€. DIVISIONS OF 12 = 132€. THEIR WILL ALSO BE A ONE OFF 10€ PAYMENT FOR THE TEAM K.O COMPETITION. THE LEAGUE FEES ARE PAYABLE IN FULL BY 20th OCTOBER. ANY TEAM NOT PAYING THESE FEES BY THAT DATE WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE LEAGUE, AND A RESERVE TEAM WILL BE INVITED TO TAKE THEIR PLACE.
2. ALL GAMES IN LEAGUE, AND COMPETITIONS, WILL BE PLAYED UNDER OLD E. P. A. RULES AND START AT 9.00p.m UNLESS PREVIOUSLY ARRANGED, IF A TEAM HAS NOT ARRIVED BY 9.15p.m (WITHOUT NOTIFICATION) THE OPPOSITION CAN CLAIM THE 1st. FRAME, BY 9.30p.m THE 2nd. FRAME, AND BY 9.45p.m THE MATCH.
3. COMMITTEE:- A 5 MAN TEAM CONSISTING OF KEVIN BAGENAL, COLIN FARROW, DON McLAREN, EDDIE QUINN, AND PAUL LENNOX, WILL MEET EVERY FRIDAY AT APPROX 11.30 a.m (AT THE MIGHTY QUINNS BAR) TO DISCUSS ANY RELEVANT ISSUES OR TO MAKE ANY DRAWS THAT MAY BE REQUIRED. A MINIMUM OF 3 MEMBERS IS REQUIRED TO MAKE ANY DECISION BINDING. PLAYERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND ANY DRAWS MADE AT THESE MEETINGS.
4. THERE WILL BE THREE DIVISIONS OF 12 TEAMS.
5. TWO TEAMS FROM THE SAME BAR CAN BE ENTERED, BUT MAY NOT PLAY IN THE SAME DIVISION, EXCEPT IN EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES. BUT PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS, (AS IS THE CASE WITH ALL TEAMS ENTERING), TO FULFILL THE SEASONS FIXTURES.
6. LEAGUE FORMAT: 5 SINGLES A BREAK FOR SNACKS, THEN 5 MORE SINGLES, HOME TEAM PAYS FOR THE GAMES. 3 POINTS AWARDED TO THE WINNING TEAM, OR 1 POINT EACH FOR A DRAW. A MINIMUM OF 3 PLAYERS CONSTITUTES A TEAM. 3 SINGLES IN THE FIRST SESSION, AND 3 IN THE SECOND, ALL OTHER GAMES ARE FORFEITED ON THE NIGHT, A WALKOVER IS DEEMED: 3 POINTS FOR THE WIN, AND 6 GAMES ADDED TO THE TEAMS TALLY.
7. TWO CONSECUTIVE NO SHOWS WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE LEAGUE.
8. CAPTAINS RESPONSIBILITY: CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAMS, INFORMING THEM OF LEAGUE RULES, REGULATIONS, FIXTURES AND DRAWS, IT IS ALSO THE CAPTAIN`S DUTY TO APPOINT SUITABLE REFEREES ON MATCH NIGHTS. THE WINNING TEAMS CAPTAIN, MUST EITHER PHONE, MIGHTY QUINNS ON:- 629 572 626 OR TEXT SUPERPOOL 629 530 233 WITH THE RESULT, NO LATER THAN 11.30 AM. THE FOLLOWING DAY, AND TAKE THE COMPLETED TEAM SHEET WITH FULL NAMES IN BLOCK CAPITALS TO MIGHTY QUINNS, OR ANY OF THE DESIGNATED DROP OFF POINTS, BY THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. THIS RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE DOWN TO THE HOME TEAMS CAPTAIN IN CASE OF A DRAW.
9. THE REFEREES DECISION IS FINAL, ONLY THE REFEREE IS ALLOWED TO TOUCH THE WHITE BALL FOLLOWING A FOUL WHEN THE WHITE BALL REMAINS ON THE TABLE, HOWEVER WHEN THE WHITE BALL LEAVES THE TABLE OR GOES DOWN A POCKET THE PLAYER MAY ALSO RETRIVE IT. THE PLAIN WHITE CUE BALL TAKES PREFERANCE IN A MATCH.
10. AT THE REFEREE`S DISCRETION HE/SHE MAY IF DEEMED NECESSARY TO WARN PLAYERS OF SLOW PLAY, AND CALL 1 MINUTE TO COMPLETE A SHOT, CALLING 30 SECONDS HALF-WAY. (Failure to do so equals a foul, 2 shots)
11. ANY DISPUTES THAT CANNOT BE RESOLVED ON THE NIGHT SHOULD BE MADE IN WRITING ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE TEAM SHEET AND DELIVERED TO THE MEETING BY 11.30 A.M THE FOLLOWING DAY FOR A RULING BY THE COMMITTEE. COMPLAINTS / DISPUTES NOT IN WRITING WILL NOT BE DISCUSSED BY THE COMMITTEE. ( HOWEVER ALL GAMES MUST BE COMPLETED ON THE NIGHT.)
12. ALL RESULTS, DRAWS & LEAGUE TABLES WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE WEB-SITE: www.superpoolspain.com AND CAN BE DOWNLOADED USUALLY BY FRIDAY EVENING. 13. ALLRESULTS 13. PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO TRANSFER UP UNTIL THE HALF WAY FIXTURE. TO DO SO THEY MUST INFORM THEIR PRESENT TEAM, AND THE COMMITTEE OF THEIR INTENTIONS, SO THE TRANSFER CAN BE LOGGED. NOTE: ONCE A PLAYER HAS PLAYED IN THE TEAM KNOCKOUT COMPETITION THEY BECOME CUP-TIED.
14. ANY TEAM FIELDING AN ILLEGAL PLAYER ( I.E: A PLAYER THAT HAS PLAYED FOR ANOTHER TEAM AND NOT BEEN GRANTED A TRANSFER) WILL BE DEDUCTED 4 POINTS. ALSO ANY POINTS THAT ILLEGAL PLAYER MAY HAVE SCORED DURING THE MATCH WILL BE AWARDED TO THE OPPOSING TEAM. IN A CUP GAME THE OFFENDING TEAM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND THEIR OPPONENTS WILL PROGRESS IN THEIR PLACE.
15. PRIZE MONEY WILL BE AWARDED AS FOLLOWS: 1€ PER FRAME WON IN ALL LEAGUE MATCHES THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, ALL “REMAINING MONIES” WILL BE PAID, IN PROPORTION OF 50/30/20 AS PRIZES TO THE TEAMS FINISHING IN 1ST, 2ND & 3RD PLACES IN EACH DIVISION. IN THE EVENT OF A DRAW FOR PLACES, IT WILL BE DECIDED ON :- FRAMES WON: HEAD to HEAD IF STILL UNDECIDED, IT WILL BE A PLAY OFF. IF A TEAM FAILS TO COMPLETE THE SEASON, THEIR PRIZE FUND WILL NOT BE PAYABLE AND WILL BE ADDED TO THE POT OF “REMAINING MONIES” IN THAT DIVISION.
16. THE TEAM KNOCKOUT CUP ENTRY FEE: WILL BE A ONE & ONLY PAYMENT OF 10€ PER TEAM. (PAYABLE WITH THE LEAGUE FEES) THE FIRST ROUND WILL BE PLAYED, ON A MINI LEAGUE ROUND-ROBIN FORMAT. ONLY PLAYERS THAT HAVE PLAYED AT LEAST ONE LEAGUE GAME, CAN PLAY IN THE KNOCKOUT.THE LAST 16 WILL BE THE TOP SCORING TEAMS FROM THE ROUND-ROBIN DIVISIONS, AND GO INTO A K/O DRAW. IF AT THE END OF THE MATCH IT IS A DRAW, THE CAPTAIN OF EACH TEAM WILL NOMINATE A PLAYER FROM THEIR TEAM TO PLAY A FINAL FRAME TO DECIDE A WINNER. NOTE: ALL KNOCKOUT MATCHES MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE DRAW FOR THE NEXT ROUND. NEW FORMAT FOR THIS YEARS INDIVIDUAL K/0 COMPETITION:- THIS YEAR AN EXPERIMENTAL FORMAT OF EACH DIVISION HAVING THEIR OWN SINGLES K/O COMPETITION WILL BE INTRODUCED.THE ENTRY FEE: WILL BE 5€ PER PLAYER, (PAYABLE WITH THE ENTRY FORM) ONCE THE DRAW HAS BEEN COMPLETED, THERE WILL BE NO SUBSTITUTES ALLOWED, ONLY THE PLAYER NAMED ON THE DRAW WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY. A DOUBLES: COMPETITION WILL ALSO BE RUN, ENTRY FEE: WILL BE 10€ PER TEAM (PAYABLE WITH THE ENTRY FORM) IF A PARTNER IS UNABLE TO PLAY FOR ANY REASON, AND SO LONG AS NO GAME HAS BEEN PLAYED A SUBSTITUTE WILL BE ALLOWED. ALL COMPETITIONS MUST BE PLAYED AT THE VENUE NOMINATED ON THE DRAW. FAILURE TO PLAY AT THE NOMINATED VENUE WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF BOTH PLAYERS / TEAMS EXCEPT IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES WHEN PREVIOUSLY AUTHORISED BY THE COMMITTEE.
17. POSTPONEMENTS: THE OPPOSING TEAM AND THE COMMITTEE MUST BE INFORMED 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE GAME, AND SUCH A GAME MUST BE RESCHEDULED TO BE PLAYED NO LATER THAN 2 WEEKS FROM THE ORIGINAL FIXTURE DATE, THE POSTPONING TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING THE FIXTURE WITHIN THAT TIME, FAILURE TO INFORM THE COMMITTEE AND/OR THE OPPOSING TEAM OF A POSTPONEMENT EQUALS 3 POINTS FOR A WIN, PLUS 6€ ADDED TO THE OPPOSING TEAMS TALLY. AND THE LOSS OF THE POSTPONING TEAMS DEPOSIT. A NEW DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE THE TEAM MAY CONTINUE TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE, IF THE FIXTURE WAS IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON,THE RETURN MATCH WILL BE REVERSED. POSTPONEMENTS NOT PLAYED IN THE ALLOTTED TIME IS A 3 POINTS WIN AND 6€ ADDED TO NON OFFENDING TEAM TALLY. NO POSTPONEMENTS ARE PERMITTED IN THE LAST THREE LEAGUE FIXTURES.
18. IF A TEAMS HOME VENUE BECOMES UNPLAYABLE OR CLOSED FOR ANY REASON, THE TEAM MUST FIND A PERMANENT REPLACEMENT VENUE FOR THAT PERIOD,THAT VENUE TO BE APPROVED BY THE COMMITTEE.
19. IF A PLAYER PUTS THEIR CUE AWAY, OR IF IT'S A TWO PIECE CUE, SPLITS IT, WHILST THEIR OPPONENT IS AT THE TABLE THIS WILL BE DEEMED AS CONCEDING THE GAME. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO RULE REGARDING MOVING THE CUE BALL WITH THE SHAFT OF THE CUE WHEN A PLAYER HAS BALL IN HAND, BUT GREAT CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN NOT TO TOUCH THE CUE BALL WITH THE TIP OF THE CUE, AS THIS WOULD BE A FOUL.
20. IF A TEAM DROPS OUT OF THE LEAGUE BEFORE ALL GAMES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON, IT MAY BE REPLACED BY A NEW TEAM TAKING OVER THEIR EXISTING POINTS. IF A TEAM DROPS OUT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON IT MAY BE REPLACED, BUT THE NEW TEAM WILL BE AWARDED THE MINIMUM POINTS IN THAT DIVISION. ( I.E SAME POINTS AS THE BOTTOM TEAM ) IF A TEAM DOES NOT FINISH THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON ALL POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED, IF A TEAM DROPS OUT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON, POINTS IN THE FIRST HALF WILL STAND.

1. THIS YEARS FUENGIROLA LEAGUES WILL START THURSDAY 14th,FRIDAY 22nd,MONDAY18th OCTOBER 2010.
2. ENTRY FEES. THERE IS A 30 EUROS REGISTRATION FEE (PLUS 25 EUROS DEPOSIT, REFUNDABLE IF ALL FIXTURES ARE COMPLETED) PAYABLE AT THE REGISTRATION MEETING. THE LEAGUE FEES WILL EQUATE TO 6 EUROS PER MATCH. LEAGUE OF 10 = 108 EUROS. LEAGUE OF 12 = 132 EUROS. THE LEAGUE FEES ARE PAYABLE IN FULL BY 21st OCTOBER. ANY TEAM NOT PAYING THESE FEES BY THIS DATE WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE LEAGUE AND ANY RESERVE TEAM WILL BE INVITED TO TAKE THEIR PLACE.
3. GAMES IN ALL COMPETITIONS WILL START AT 9.00PM UNLESS PREVIOUSLY ARRANGED, IF A TEAM HASN´T ARRIVED BY 9.15 (WITHOUT WARNING) THEN THE OPPOSITION CAN CLAIM THE FIRST FRAME. BY 9.30 THE 2ND FRAME, AND BY 9.45 THE MATCH.
4. ALL DIVISIONS WILL BE PLAYING E.P.A. RULES, THE SIZE OF WHICH WILL BE DEPENDANT ON THE NUMBER OF TEAMS ENTERING.
5. TWO TEAMS FROM THE SAME BAR CAN BE ENTERED, BUT PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS, (AS IS THE CASE WITH ALL THE TEAMS ENTERING), TO FULFILL THE SEASONS FIXTURES.
6. E.P.A FORMAT AS PER LAST SEASON, 6 SINGLES THEN A BREAK FOR SNACKS, FOLLOWED BY 3 DOUBLES.
7. E.P.A TEAMS: A MINIMUM OF 4 PLAYERS CONSTITUTES A TEAM. 4 SINGLES AND 2 DOUBLES ALL OTHER GAMES ARE FORFEITED ON THE NIGHT HOWEVER IF A TEAM TURNS UP WITH 5 PLAYERS THEN 5 SINGLES & 3 DOUBLES MAY BE PLAYED ( THE FINAL DOUBLES PARTNER TO BE DRAWN FROM THE 5 PLAYERS AVAILABLE. )
8. PLEASE NOTE : THAT THIS YEARS POINTS SYSTEM IS THE FOLLOWING
3 POINTS FOR A WIN AND 1 EURO PER FRAME WON NO BONUS POINTS.
A WALKOVER WILL SHOW AS 7-2 IN THE FOR AND AGAINST COLUMN AS WELL AS 3 POINTS IN THE POINTS COLUMN.
9. TWO CONSECUTIVE NO SHOWS WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICACION FROM THE LEAGUE.ALL POSTPONED FIXTURES MUST BE PLAYED , OR OFFENDING TEAM WILL LOSE A PERCENTAGE OF THEIR PRIZE FUND ( TO BE DECIDED BY THE COMMITTEE )
10. CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAMS, INFORMING THEM OF LEAGUE RULES, REGULATIONS, FIXTURES AND DRAWS, IT IS ALSO THE CAPTAIN`S DUTY TO APPOINT SUITABLE REFEREES ON MATCH NIGHTS, TO ENSURE TEAM SHEETS ARE FILLED OUT PROPERLY (FULL NAMES IN BLOCK CAPITALS ) AND WINNING TEAMS CAPTAIN TO TEXT OR TEL THE RESULTS NO LATER THAN 2.30pm. THE FOLLOWING DAY .FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF 2 EUROS ( FROM THE FRAMES WON COLUMN )
11. THE REFEREES DECISION IS FINAL. ONLY THE REFEREE IS ALLOWED TO TOUCH THE WHITE BALL FOLLOWING A FOUL WHEN THE WHITE BALL REMAINS ON THE TABLE HOWEVER IF THE WHITE BALL LEAVES THE TABLE OR GOES DOWN A POCKET THE PLAYER MAY PICK UP THE WHITE BALL.
12. AT THE REFEREES DISCRETION THEY MAY IF THEY DEEM NECCESARY TO SPEED UP PLAY, WARN PLAYERS OF SLOW PLAY THEN GIVE 1 MINUTE TO TAKE THEIR SHOT. ( FAILURE TO DO SO EQUALS FOUL 2 SHOTS )
13. ANY DISPUTES THAT CANNOT BE RESOLVED ON THE NIGHT SHOULD BE MADE KNOWN TO J& J POOL OR ELITE LEISURE OR SUPERPOOL NO LATER THAN THE FOLLOWING MORNING( IN WRITING) WHEN A RULING WILL BE MADE. COMPLAINTS / DISPUTES NOT IN WRITING WILL NOT BE DISCUSSED . HOWEVER ALL GAMES MUST BE COMPLETED ON THE NIGHT.
14. ALL RESULTS, DRAWS & LEAGUE TABLES WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE WEB-SITE www.superpoolspain.com. THESE CAN BE DOWNLOADED USUALLY BY THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE EURO WEEKLY NEWS WILL ALSO COVER AND PRINT ALL LEAGUE INFORMATION ACCORDINGLY J &J POOL , ELITE LEISURE AND SUPERPOOL WILL DISTRIBUTE TO THEIR TEAMS BARS.
15. PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO TRANSFER ONCE UP UNTIL THE CHRISTMAS BREAK. TO DO SO THEY MUST INFORM THEIR PRESENT TEAM AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING : JASON ( J&J POOL ) NEILL (ELITE LEISURE ) PAUL ( SUPERPOOL) OF THEIR INTENTIONS SO THE TRANSFER CAN BE LOGGED. NOTE, ONCE A PLAYER HAS PLAYED IN THE TEAM KNOCKOUT COMPETITION THEY BECOME CUP-TIED. EACH TEAM WILL BE GIVEN A PLAYER REGISTRATION FORM TO BE COMPLETED SO THAT ALL LEGAL PLAYERS MAY BE LOGGED, IF DURING THE SEASON A TEAM ACQUIRES MORE PLAYERS THEN THE FORM MUST BE UPDATED BY INFORMING A MEMBER OF THE COMMITTEE OTHERWISE THE NEW PLAYER MAY BE DEEMED ILLEGAL.
16. ANY TEAM FOUND FIELDING AN ILLEGAL PLAYER WILL BE DEDUCTED 2 POINTS. ALSO ANY FRAMES THAT THE ILLEGAL PLAYER MAY HAVE SCORED DURING THE MATCH WILL BE AWARDED TO THE OPPOSING TEAM. THE ILLEGAL PLAYER WILL BE BANNED FROM ALL COMPETITIONS FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON .IN A CUP GAME THE OFFENDING TEAM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND THEIR OPPONENTS WILL PROGRESS IN THEIR PLACE.

18. THE TEAM KNOCK OUT CUP ENTRY FEE WILL BE 10 EUROS PER TEAM. (PAYABLE WITH THE LEAGUE FEES). THIS WILL BE RUN USING E.P.A. RULES WITH THE FIRST ROUND BEING PLAYED ON A ROUND-ROBIN FORMAT. ONLY PLAYERS WHO HAVE PLAYED AT LEAST ONE LEAGUE GAME MAY PLAY FOR A TEAM IN THE TEAM KNOCKOUT.
A SINGLES KNOCKOUT COMPETITION WILL BE RUN BETWEEN ALL THE FUENGIROLA LEAGUES. THE ENTRY FEE FOR THIS COMPETITION IS 5 EUROS PER PLAYER, WHICH IS PAYABLE WITH THE ENTRY FORM.
A DOUBLES COMPETITION WILL BE RUN ( AS ABOVE ) ENTRY FEE WILL BE 10 EUROS PER TEAM .
ONCE THE DRAW HAS BEEN COMPLETED, THERE WILL BE NO SUBSTITUTES ALLOWED IN THE SINGLES , HOWEVER IN THE DOUBLES SO LONG AS A TEAM HAS NOT YET PLAYED, PARTNERS MAY BE CHANGED.FOR THE SINGLES AND DOUBLES DRAWS, FIRST ENTRY NAME DRAWN WILL BE DEEMED THE HOME TEAM / PLAYER
ALL KNOCKOUT MATCHES MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE DRAW FOR THE NEXT ROUND.
19. POSTPONEMENTS. THE OPPOSING TEAM AND THE COMMITTEE MUST BE INFORMED 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE GAME & HAVE 21 DAYS TO RE-SCHEDULE THE POSTPONED MATCH . FAILURE TO INFORM THE COMMITTEE AND THE OPPOSING TEAM OF A POSTPONEMENT EQUALS A 7-2 RESULT PLUS 3-0 POINTS WALKOVER, AND LOSS OF THE POSTPONING TEAMS DEPOSIT ( PLUS A PERCENTAGE OF THAT TEAMS PRIZE FUND....SEE NOTE 8 ). A NEW DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE PAID BEFORE THE TEAM MAY CONTINUE TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE. IF THE FIXTURE WAS IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON THEN THE RETURN MATCH WILL BE REVERSED. NO POSTPONEMENTS ARE PERMITTED FOR THE LAST 3 LEAGUE FIXTURES .PLEASE NOTE : A THURSDAY IN EITHER HALF OF THE SEASON WILL BE ALLOTED,WHERE POSSIBLE, IN ORDER TO PLAY ANY OUTSTANDING MATCHES .
20. IF A TEAMS HOME VENUE BECOMES UNPLAYABLE OR CLOSED FOR ANY REASON, THE TEAM MUST FIND A PERMANENT REPLACEMENT VENUE FOR THAT PERIOD. THAT VENUE, TO BE APPROVED BY THE COMMITTEE.
